An Abba Krishna Temple With Spires of The Cross, the Crescent, the Star of David, and Other Religious Emblems In the Heart of the Prayerful Gullies of the Nature Blessed Province of Laguna.
Laguna province lies on the southern elbow of the tumultuous Metro Manila hub. Cross the last Metro city called Muntinlupa farther southward and you’ve ventured into Laguna territory. San Pedro, the first town, worms and sputters like any Metro enclave with snail paced traffic, swarming crowded streets, and brown smog.
The deeper you go, the scene quickly changes to the idyllic suburban winding roads. The trees and the shrubbery become lush. The wide open spaces take you far away from the tight intensity of busy city centers. The rolling hills in the distance and the verdant patchwork of elaborate man made landscapes with age worn rice paddies curry emotional combinations that all billow to a yearning to come home.
The air is fresh and so invigorating prompting one to drag in a heady lungful. You keep it longer inside and let bubble wisps escape in a leisurely playful release. The views wherever you turn and from vantage points offered by panel glass windows all please the eyes with natural wonders which are mostly intricate geo greenery formations.
The South Luzon Expressway propels so smoothly forward in a magic carpet ride. The glorious rush runs headlong into the bosom of the momentous rising landmark, Mount Makiling that guards with motherly vigilance the protected domains surrounding its wide girth. The centuries old legend of the beauty and splendor of Maria of the mystery mountain showers all around with fertile seedlings to make the orchids bloom forth, the fish jump in the lakes and rivers, and the corn and bananas grow to golden ripeness.
The people are disposed to smile and be warm even to interlopers because of the touch of paradise in their environs. The balance between earth and inhabitant dovetails in exact symbiotic compatibility leading each one to take and give care and affection to the other. Humanism is cooked by the benevolence of the environment. Inversely, the fattening of the fields is soiled by the attitudes of men.
Temples in the hearts of the people and the inviolate state of the expanse they live in is a gift returned to the Father as an offering of the righteous employ of His Divine Providence. The crusty promising stone left in the sun kissed corner was worked on with tender craft and benign vision to be the polished jewel that is the rich province of Laguna today.
And there eighty eight miles out of Manila on a seven hectare clearing amidst vanguards of tall willowy coconut trees in rapt attention, the dome of the Abba Krishna will rise to welcome all peoples of all faiths. Its crucible will silhouette against the reverent monumental backdrop offered by the holy mountain, Mt. Banahaw. A never drying stream of spring water meanders through the compound direct from the tributaries above the slopes.
Churches are exclusive, inhospitable, feigning with open arms that are calculated to stand you off at a proper distance. Most of the time, they are padlocked in fear of being looted for the precious antiques. The rituals cost money to participate in and you feel a cold eye train on you once you fail to drop some currency into the collection box. The learning you have to surmount to belong in them makes you feel like an ignoramus. The insiders strut about to spite your unworthiness like they were God’s favored adorers.
Such attitudes spawn enmity between religious faiths. They become contestants instead of collaborators. My God versus your God. It seems the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Lord Jesus Christ have become unwitting hostages inside the Churches to be ransomed with fund raising activities. The materialistic bent that has engulfed the outside realms has established a foothold in the echelons of the Rock of St. Peter.
The altars of the refuge of the Abba Krishna in Laguna will bear the ornaments pf different faiths. The Bible, the Koran, the Torah, and the Vedas plus all other religious scriptures of many different modes of worship of God will find their own special nook where they could be prominently displayed for all and sundry. No tributes will be asked to enter its hallowed halls and no stiff learning of the pompous ceremonies and dogmas tipped as profit earners will be mandatory as part of the initiation to membership.
Chanting Maha Mantras will be the entire length and breadth of the religious pomp therein. You only have to know three phrases to qualify as a devotee. They are:
Hare Krishna, Hare Rama, Abba Krishna.
Hare Krishna Maha Mantra - Prabhu
Hare Krishna - Erkin Koray
Melodious Maha Mantra - Titiksava Karunika das
